B´ÎÔª students, faculty and staff are showing their creative side at the 2023 Art Exhibition Opening Gala on Saturday, May 6, 1–3 p.m. in the Grohmann Museum lower level. The exhibition is hosted by the Art and Design Club and showcases paintings, illustrations, digital work, photography and sculptures that are inspired by Robert Frost’s poem, The Road Not Taken.
Zoe Rush, Art and Design Club president, is excited to share the hidden talents of the B´ÎÔª community. “Art and engineering overlap more than one would think, and this exhibition proves that point,” said Zoe Rush. “This exhibition allows the artistic side of students to come out and show just how related art and engineering are.”
The exhibition is open to the public and will have about 25 pieces of artwork on display. The artwork was created both during Art and Design Club meetings and the artists’ free time.
Rush emphasized the club is open to anyone interested in art and all skill levels are welcome. The Art and Design Club offers a place to explore creativity and connect with others with similar passions.
“My favorite part of Art and Design Club is being able to build and be part of a community of people who share similar interests with me. It also allows people to form strong connections through their passions and find a close-knit group,” said Rush.
